This mobile barrier is used to conduct tests according to the requirements of the NHTSA.

In these tests, the mobile barrier hits the test vehicle at a speed of 90 km/h (56 mph) under 15 degrees with 35% overlap.

Mobile barriers for crash tests

In order to conduct crash tests according to ECE, IIHS, FMVSS, Trias, RCAR and many others, ERNST carries a number of fully developed crash carts in its portfolio. All crash carts can be specially modified, according to our customers' requirements. Many of our crash carts can also be flexibly retrofitted, allowing the realization of up to four applications in one frame. After their final assembly, the crash carts are calibrated according to our customers' specifications (total mass, location of the center of gravity and inertia). During the assembly of cameras, measuring technology, etc., we conduct a mass balancing, so that our crash carts can be employed as soon as the customer receives them.

This crash cart is used to conduct the AZT rear end crash repair test, RCAR structure test –10 degrees. Available as the standard version (1400kg) or a special version (1000kg).

The crash cart is used to conduct lateral collision tests according to AE-MDB v3.9 and Euro NCAP. In these tests, the crash cart collides at a speed of 50 km/h into the test vehicle at 90 degrees.

This crash cart is used to conduct tests according to ECE-R95, 96/27/EG and Euro NCAP. In these tests, the crash cart hits the test vehicle laterally at a speed of 50 km/h at less than 90 degrees.

This crash cart is used to conduct rear collision tests according to ECE-R34 and TRIAS 33. In these tests, the crash cart collides with the rear end of the test vehicle at 100% at a speed of 35 to 38 km/h.

This crash cart is used to conduct rear collision tests according to FMVSS 301 in order to determine the tightness of the fuel tank. In this test, the crash cart collides with the rear end of the test vehicle at 100% at a speed of 47.3 km/h.

This crash cart offers an economic alternative to the two individual crash carts FMVSS 301 and FMVSS 214 / US NCAP. Through a uniform basic frame and an adapter set, both tests can be conducted with the same crash cart through simple retrofitting.

This crash cart is used to conduct lateral collision tests according to FMVSS 214 and US NCAP. In these tests, the crash cart hits the test vehicle laterally at a speed of up to 61 km/h at less than 27 degrees.

This crash cart is used to conduct tests according to IIHS Side Impact. In these tests, the crash cart hits the test vehicle laterally at a speed of 50 km/h at less than 90 degrees.

ERNST's multiple barriers offer you an economic alternative to the individual crash carts, since they allow for an overlap of the various test regulations in certain areas.
