Successful pre-acceptance of the two powertrain test beds for Kratzer Automation

Test systems | December 12, 2020

Successful pre-acceptance of the two powertrain test beds for Kratzer Automation. The delivery to Munich will take place as planned by the end of this year in order to continue with the pre-commissioning at Kratzer in a timely manner.

The project scope includes 4 test bed base structures; an existing 2-E PST will be upgraded to a full 4-E PST. Furthermore, a completely new 2-E PST is added.

The new axle test bed (2-E-PST) has both an adjustment device in the longitudinal direction (wheelbase | 0 … 3,200 mm) and a further adjustment device in the transverse direction (track width | ±500 mm). The two wheel machines cover a maximum wheelbase of 3200 mm (Z configuration).

The wheel machines are Krebs and Aulich synchronous motors (540 KW | 2,800 1/min | 3,000 Nm), and T12HP (5 kNm) HBM measuring flanges are used as the measuring sensor.

ERNST supplies the entire mechanical structure for this, including the flywheels (20 additional weights| J = 0.37 … 2.3 kgm²), which are mounted directly on the wheel machine and are adjustable in steps.
