The requirements for occupational safety are continuously increasing. A shaft guard as a mechanical protection device is now the standard to protect both personnel and adjacent components in case of failure of rotating components.
In most cases, mechanical protection in the form of an enclosure is coupled with electrical monitoring. Sensors must be differentiated with regard to their functions here.
For example, setup operation at reduced speed can be ensured by means of mechanical guard locking in conjunction with the test bed software, and possible intervention can be prevented.
ERNST develops and manufactures individual solutions that precisely meet the specific requirements.
