Engine testing today must be economical. The simple requirement reads as follows: “Collect all necessary data in the shortest time possible.” In this regard, setup times represent the most significant bottleneck, which has a decisive impact on the economy of engine testing.
This is a bottleneck whose optimization potential ERNST uses at 100%.
As with every great idea, the core premise is very simple here: ERNST’s palett system shifts the time-consuming part of the necessary setup and disassembly work away from the test bed to a separate setup station.
